Hi all

Have a Fox FIT damper from a 2008 or so Fox 36 FIT RLC Fork whose rebound has stopped working properly. The fork is in good condition and I have taken the damper cart out and bled it but to no avail. At this stage just toying with sending just the damper off to get sorted but unsure who best to send it to? Or should I just have a shot at replacing the rebound damper piston gubbings myself? Thing is where to get the bits now!

Any advice? Cheers in advance!

There's something in my mind about these relying on a rubber bladder that's no longer available. Not sure what year they switched from that though.

RSF in Plymouth are very good and not averse to giving out a bit of advice rather than playing you for business.

I think the 2008 forks still used the bladder. My TALAS forks did. As a result, I had to buy new forks a couple of years ago as there were no spares left anywhere and newer dampers wouldn't fit in the forks.

Thanks for the replies!!

Sorted the problem- it was an easy fix. Spoke to RSF and they straight away identified the problem from my description- a circlip from the rebound damper piston can come loose. Simple fix to pop off the piston, tighten up the circlip and inspect the shaft assembly etc. See here for the rebound damper piston assembly parts and process:

Good thing is the rest of the forks are absolutely fine inside- very clean.

Would reccommend RSF for their help and guidance in the future- great guys!

All power to the forum! 🙂
