Just about to do a clean up and service on my few years old RP23 rear shock, still works lovely and no complaints and I've not really considered the newer CTD rear shocks but just wondering what people's opinions are on them. I quite like the simplicity of flicking the blue lever on the rp23 as per trail (stiff for climb/soft for trail etc) and what they do sounds similar but Is there much of a difference between their RP23 predecessors?
I prefer the middle settings of trail though there are a number of different tunes and suspension set ups so many different outcomes possible.
I loved my RP23 too, very simple. I don't think I ever used the pro pedal. Stuff like CTD and Rockshox's equivalent RT3 settings are superfluous in my opinion.
I've got an RP23 on one bike and CTD Evolution on the other. I prefer the RP23, so if it's set up how you like it and it's not broken I'd stick with that if I were you.
Sounds fair. Cheers for that, was just wondering what, if any, difference it makes.
