I found myself getting bored this evening so strated stripping down my bike and giving it the once over.

whilst doing this i decided to see what makes the fox air shox (2008 rp2) work anyway. I kinda of sussed out they aren't that hard to sort out

However the question i have is what does the little bleed screw inside on the square bit of the piston thing do as I may of undone it letting whatever pressure was in there out! whoops!

I can't say i have noticed a difference with how the shox preforms so just wondering what i have stuffed up?

That is the bleed on the oil chamber, if you've let oil out you'll need a re-gas and re-oil.
Which I can sort for you 😀

With out that pressure in there (with your damping oil) your damping won't work properly.
As above, get it re-gassed.
