I've got a set of 2010 Fox 40s that are in need of a good service. In addition to servicing them, there are a couple of upgrade options that might be worth looking at:
- swapping out the 2010 damper for the new FIT inverted damper (extra £277)
- swapping out the legs for Kashima-coated stanchions (extra £187)
Has anyone got any experience of these upgrades - are they worth the extra cost? Bear in mind that the cost of both upgrades and the service is probably what I'd end up paying if I sold my current fork and brought a brand new '12...

Sounds like you answered your own question.
seems a no-brainer then with the above?
A mate bought some 40s earlier this year off ebay and they had had a very hard life the suspension action was truly awful really rough and notchy
Mojo turned them round with a rebuild they feel buttery smooth and allegedly respond very well to to the normal adjustments so maybe thats all you nneed
