Had a set of fox 36s for the past 5 months, got them new. have been riding more recently, and have been feeling knocking when the forks are compressing.

Put my finger between the crown and the stantions, and there is play there, that's between the lowers and the stantions. It's not a small amount of play, it's quite noticable.

Just wondering how common this is? I'm going to email Mojo in the morning anyway to see what they can do.

Not something that has happened to me so cannot really help. However, don't recall seeing anything much about reliability issues on 36s other than usual Fox servicing requirements.

Mojo may well tell you that it's normal. I had a 36 RC2 that did this from new and the guy I spoke to at Mojo said it was a non-issue. It did occasionally bother me when I was riding as it was sometimes noticeable at low speed; but there were never any ill-effects. I stripped the fork before selling it after a year and there was absolutely no sign of wear/friction on the stanchions. The play was exactly the same after a year as it was at new. The 36 RLC I have now has zero play.
