Got a 2021 fox 36 factory, looking to up from 160 to 170.

This the correct thing ? Im pretty sure, but checking now is easier than finding out later on.

Just double check your fork is a '2021' model, not 'bought new in 2021 or came on a bike i bought in 2021 but actually a 2020 spec'.

Ive always got them from Pinkbike adds for my 36s and 38s. there are always some on as people are always swapping them out for more or less travel

Quick search, first one that came up

I think they changed them between 2020 and 2021 to add more negative volume (and also bumped the price up a fair bit).

Everything that I read when I was looking suggested they aren’t cross compatible due to the older design not matching with the transfer port on the inside of the stanction as designed.

For a 2021 fork I would be go with the one you have linked to be safe. Frustrating as there always seems to be 2020 available for a lot less second hand but never any 2021.

Yeah its a 2021

Info off the serial number from the back of the crown.

2021 Factory Series 36 FLOAT 27.5 160 Grip
Serial number: -------------
Part number: 910-25-301
Description: 2021, 36, K, FLOAT, 27.5in, F-S, 160, Grip 2, HSC, LSC, HSR, LSR, Matte Blk, No Logo, 15QRx110, 1.5 T, 44mm Rake, N/M OE

A range of annoying abbreviations. Whats K mean ?, or N/M

Thanks for the pinkbike link, but really needs 5to be new. 'lightly used' can be an interpretation, whereas brand new from tf will have all the bits and there won't be any later problems.

Frustrating as there always seems to be 2020 available for a lot less second hand but never any 2021.

Annoying indeed  £90 v £52  😆

K = Kabolt axle compatible

I think N/M OE is basically saying it’s a fork produced for OE
