Hello all,

As title - I've bought some 2019 Fox 36's 27.5 160mm from CRC killer price for Grip2 forks BUT the fork leg decal states "Custom internal spacer installed 27.5/27.5+". And with the code DS8X in the fox website "2.8" Tire Spacer".

Does anyone know for sure what that spacer is, where is it, can it be removed, does it affect the overall length of the fork, the stroke or what? (I asked Fox UK but they started off by telling me it's a hub spacer and then something else so I'm not convinced of their response!) Forks are boost 110mm and NOT 'Ebike' rated etc.

Thank you.

Its a plastic spacer under the bottom out bumper, it reduces the travel slightly. They are usually about 2.5mm.

I would guess it's a spacer to stop the crown hitting the taller 2.8" tyre at bottom out. So you might have a 170mm fork that's restricted to 160mm by the spacer.
