so i've got a set of 120mm 34 rhythms on my top fuel, 20-22 sort of model fork
i saw a 130mm airspring for the rhythm in sale, picked it up
however, i've just seen that there are two dampers, a 80-120 and 130-140 model
is this a thing? am i going to need a longer damper? in which case i won't bother
Are the two options for the 34 step cast (80-120) and "normal" 34 (130-140)? Any idea which one you have on your bike?
There are definitely codes for 2 different dampers for 34 Rhythm on the Fox site. I don't think it's anything to do with step cast. No idea if the travel range is just what they are normally paired with in the forks at the factory, or if it's a restriction on the travel they can support.
I am pretty confident that the 130-140mm one can do the shorter length too, just not the other way around.
cheers guys, looks to be the deal.. and being as there's only two lengths that means a longer damper or damper shaft required
100 quid for the damper
so no.. ill be sending the airshaft back, id rather buy a set of performance 130 and make a few quid back on the rhythms
