Hey
Pretty familiar with lower leg service on rockshox forks, kind of regretting not buying them instead of these fox 34 performance forks for my winter hack bike. The fox website is so confusing and over complicated compared to RS.
Before I chuck them in a frame, I wanted to do a lower leg service, as I'm unsure how much use they've had as I bought them second hand.
They are 650b 150mm with the fit grip damper.
The fox service chart states:
"air side bath 10cc of 20wt oil" air side??
"Fit grip damper side bath 40cc of 5wt oil" right side??
So I inject 10cc in the left lower leg, and 40cc in the right lower leg of said oils?
Also, does it have to be the Teflon infused oil, or can I use any 5wt fork oil?
Hopefully I can manage without the foam rings and crush washers for this time. As they are hard to track down on a tight budget.
Thanks alot
"So I inject 10cc in the left lower leg, and 40cc in the right lower leg of said oils?" - Yes, exactly
Yes air side is left as you sit on the bike, put the oil in the lowers same as you would to RS.
If you dont have the Fox lower removal tools you can use a socket to knock the rods free instead of an allen key on RS.
GRIP damper ingests the lower bath oil and purges back into the bath. I have not tried using oil other than the specified FOX PTFE 5wt.
