Hi all. Had a bit of a problem with my Fox 34 Performance Evol forks today and wondered if anyone else had had similar. Going off a smallish drop I had a big clunk from the fork and the feeling of something loose. When I stopped the fork lowers had loads of play and the forks would not compress. They appeared to be over extended and I think the lower bushing had come off the end of the stanchion. I let some air out and could wiggle the bushing on and compress the fork but each time I take weight off the fork it extends too far again. The rebound adjuster is still attached as are both bottom nuts as far as I can see. I have not stripped it yet but suspect one of the piston shafts has snapped or come detached. It was serviced last summer by Tftuned and not had a huge amount of use or abuse. Anyone had similar, a known issue (can’t find anything obvious on Google) or ideas of what it might be? Thanks.

I bet the clip has popped out of the base of the stanchion that holds the negative seal head in place.

Think RickDraper has it, might not be too bad

Ah, good call guys. Hopefully it’s as simple as that and the circlip has done no damage. Job for the weekend! 👍

@RickDraper you were spot on! The ‘smalley’ ring at the bottom of the air piston had indeed come out for some reason. Popped back in and now all working fine. Thanks
