Building my 1st 29" steel hardtail with 120mm forks.
Chance has it that I have the opportunity to buy either of the above mentioned forks for the same money.
Given this which would be best!?
I have Pike, which are great but for the same money would probably go for the Fox. Reports suggest the performance is similar and I think the finish of Fox is better.
I have 2 sets of 26" Pikes and I do really like them but the Fox's have a good write up and are a bit lighter!
Fox every time. Pikes are rubbish compared to fox factory but fox are expensive so get a lot of hate. There were a few questionable years of fox forks so check which year they are before buying.
The only thing that bothers me with Fox is the service intervals.
My Pikes have been faultless in over 2.5 years use.
MRP Stage
WAY better than either of the options mentioned (and yes I've ridden them all), but nobody else has ridden the MRP so nobody will recommend it!
