Hi , have ordered a transition smuggler 2018 frame, forks that come with the package are boost 34s at 140mm. Should be nice and stiff. However I'm considering using boost 36s at 150mm. Thoughts?

What shock are you putting on it?
Try it, you can always drop the 36's to 140mm later. Theoretically will raise the bb by a few mm and slacken HA but a lot will depend on sag and ride height of the forks.
I have 140 stages on my smuggler that was designed for 130, though deliberately as they have a shorter a2c than pikes etc. Worth checking the a2c depending how much you want to mess around with the geometry from how it was designed to run.
