Afternoon

I recently bought a new bike and it's got Fox 32 Float Rythm forks with remote lockout.  I did a ride to start with and bang on.

At the weekend I did another ride and locked the forks out.  When I stood up for a climb I noticed they weren't fully locked out, infact they bounced as much as if not locked out.

I mentioned it to the lad who I was riding with and he asked if I had set them up.  I didnt realise you had to!  I thought it was ride and go.  Watched a couple of videos on YouTube since and seen the 20-25% thing.

So now, if I get a shock pump and set these up, is this the cause of my lockout issue?

TIA

probably just need to tighten the lockout cable, there is usually a barrel adjuster at the control end. That said, if the cable slipped on your first ride the fork end probably needs tightening first. The lockout on these is pretty precise so the cable needs to be nice and tight in the lockout position or it won't work.

Grip or Fit4?

The setup is in opposite directions.
Fit4 you start with the cable and top cap in its untensioned state
Grip is backwards, you have to use tools to rotate the topcap to locked out position then clamp the cable with the lever also in lockout position.
Either case, just turn on the barrel adjusters worth of cable stretch or slack and you'll loose full lockout.
