Been on the lookout for cheap 29 forks for a while, not much luck.
Looked at getting these serviced, apparently most places will only replace the damper not service it - for what seems like quite a lot of money.
So - has anyone bought a fit4 damper and fitted it themselves?
Lots of threads / youtubes online so has anyone done this successfully?
Could you give me a link to a decent step by step guide?
And where is best to buy the bits I need? German sites seem to be cheapest
Fork itself seems in really good nick structurally, no stanchion where, its just gone a bit wooden and the CTD lever seems to not stiffen up the compression any more.
would something like this be a useful upgrade?

I like the bit where it says simple to install!
Damper swap is easy but you do need to make sure that the top cap thread of any new damper matches the existing as there were some changes through the years.
Step by step vids are available based on normal service procedures.
