Im heading up in 2 weeks for a couple of days to take in the World Cup , I've been before so know the script. What Im wondering Is as will have my 14 year old son who's a better rider than me with me. Are the local enduro trails easy to find.? I've looked on trailforks and found some and got a reply from Liam from the dudes regarding a ride out on friday which unfortunately we wont be up in time for. Any advice ? , I can mince down most enduro trails so any help is appreciated. by the way ill be leaving sunday night but up mid day on friday.

I'm strangely reminded of...

That day you and Winston "rode" the trail next to ponduro.

Be careful up there 😉

Sorry I only know the two gondola accessed tracks at Ft William. Hopefully someone will be along in the morning to help you with routes for you and #Radboy to enjoy.

The only one I can help with is Blue Crane, which is dead easy to find and not even a little bit secret, right off the world champs climb- you ride along the fire road that leads to Big Ben but instead of going onto the singletrack just go straight on into the quarry looking thing, can't miss it. It hits a fire road, go a wee bit right then left just before the fire road junction and it leads you right down onto the cackle. And it's generally great fun, even if it does spend its gravity a wee bit quick, it's not massively difficult but has its moments. There's tons more stuff around that bit but I can't remember which is which so I always just ride random trails and sometimes that ends in peril or lostness.

They usually open the dh as soon as possible the day after too, and it's usually in beautiful condition.

Kinlochleven's just down the road and is super easy to navigate but it's also quite harsh. Some pretty hard stuff (harder for me than almost all of the golfy frinstance, your skillset may vary, a moment's inattention/carelessness usually screws me over and crashes have consequences there, you either land on a big jaggy rock or in a swamp. And there's no easy way off the hill because you're already riding down the best paths. I bloody love it but it has kicked my arse quite a few times.
