Staying at Glen Nevis campsite again this year and thinking about taking bikes and cycling up to the event, is this possible via trails or am I better ditching bikes and hopping on bus??

Yeah I rode in from north face car park they have a bike parking area in the event just need a lock. On the way home I was pretending to be a wc legend and had a high speed crash chasing my mate so don't do that

Can bike the whole way there on a cycle path that follows the road. Big space for storing bikes too. Take a padlock tho.

I think the pavement all the way through Fort William is also cycle path. I'm not 100% sure because I pretty much ignore all pavement cyclists. Which is what will happen next week too I'm sure. So if you mean can you cycle up without going on the road, then yes. If you mean nice trails from Glen Nevis to Nevis Range, then not really.

You can cycle all the way up to the bike park at Nevis Range from Glen Nevis. There's some roadworks and construction happening on the main road but if you head through Inverlochy (take a left at the second roundabout you come to)and past Nevis Cycles (head right at the shop and keep straight on) you can pick up the bike route that takes you behind Old Inverlochy Castle and the old BA club (stick by the river), past the playing fields and picks up the cycle path at the roundabout before Ben Nevis Distillery, Cross the main road at the crossing and you are on cycle path to Torlundy and head up the old ski road (closed road) to Nevis Range. Take locks - the bike park is not attended.

I should have added, if you want to take the trails, follow the directions to Torlundy and take a right when you cross the railway bridge (after the traffic lights). That takes you up to the North Face car park and you'll see the trail heading off in the far left corner of the carpark. That will take you up to Nevis Range too.

About 5 miles. Should take you about 30-40 mins at a leisurely pace. Faster going home as its downhill from Nevis Range. Not having to wait in the queue for the shuttle bus at the end of the day is a massive bonus.
