Planing a weekend in mid September for a bit of trail riding not bothered about DH.

Thought I'd fire it up here as there's always plenty of advice floating around.

Good idea or to late in the year?

Anywhere good for staying along the lines of a camping pod tho not a deal breaker.

Where to ride for best bang in the limited time?

There are pods at the Glen Nevis campsite. There's a pub/restaurant a short walk away.

September is usually ok. In fact it's proved to be excellent these past few years.

There's often a hot food van on the site too, doing breakfasts and meals, but I don't know what their season is.

The Ben Nevis Inn is a short walk away across the river. food is good but a bit expensive and it's not really a pub, more of a sit-down restaurant. Lively though, and filled with walker/climber/biker types.

And Fort William isn't that far away.

If you're there in lift season the uplift black (used to be the red) is definitely worth it for a non-downhiller. Don't do the 10UTB waymarked route, it's crap, but the witches trails are actually really great and you can link in all the good bits of 10UTB with just a little backtracking. One of the better trailcentre days out imo

There's tons of #enduro madness in the forest but it's very variable, some is great, some is rubbish, some is frankly terrifying 🙂 Hard to navigate.

I love kinlochleven and it's just down the road. Laggan's an easy drive too.

Aye, go on the gondola, it's an awesome day, and do both the Top Chief (black) and the world cup track. Brilliant days riding.
