Just seen this on the BBC Highlands website. £70 k of kit lifted on the Friday at the Downhill weekend...

Pretty shabby under any circumstances. When I worked on the event I thought that there was overnight security teams onsite...

Apologies if this has bindun already.

Seems to happen every year the WC is at Fort William. Nothing on the BBC about which team/s and or equipment...

It would be a bit of an embarrassing admission - unless of course they'd been told that there was sufficient on-site security.

It was mentioned on the Downtime Podcast. Can’t remember the team but the others rallied around and got them all the bikes and gear sorted in less than two hours and I think all riders qualified!

It was Union IIRC.
And eah, similar has happened before, but unfortunately it's not an issue limited to Scotland, it's happened at multiple races all over the series.

7 union bikes. V10s, plus possibly spare carbon rims and suspension. 70k seems about right.

They are Santa Cruz's second team / feeder team, seems the Syndicate had enough spares to get them all riding.
