Looking at selling my avid elixir r's and buying a set of formula rx brakes. Does anyone own any and are they worth buying? Seen a set on the classifieds for £140 posted- fair price?

Price is fair, they're very powerful, but I found them quite wooden - quite an on/off feel.

I like mine... easy enough to bleed, change pads etc... and you can fit a hope matchmaker for shimano to them too.

Superb IMO

I bought a bike with Formulas fitted, took my M445's off my other bike a week later after buying some formulas for them.

Rate my RX's - powerful, not suffered fade, controllable.

Like mine, easy to look after on the rare occasion they need any attention. Been running them for about 3 years now.

cant comment on how good they are as i've never used them, but.....

you can get them new for a fair bit less from bike-discount.de
There's also a few other options in their clearance.

I've just sold my elixir R's and I probably will be doing the same, or maybe 2012 xt.

Whole set for 103 pounds? That's disgusting. Oh, out of stock.

oh yes, sorry about that.

they've still got the fronts in stock, if its a flip flop lever you can just buy two fronts and get a longer hose for the rear.
