..........for XC racing mainly?
Used XT's last year, v. powerful but not too much control (modulation?) Formula seem to get good write ups.
Looking for a lightweight set up, does this fit the bill, any other suggestions without having to sell bodyparts?

yes, great and light brakes, but I notice on the other thread today that they don't seem to have a uk distributor any more, so hope they don't need any help.
Mine have been fine fwiw, just the plastic bushings on lever and barrel pivots getting a bit rattly and bled once a year.
They're not particularily light. Though not heavy either. And IMO give slightly worse modulation than my old XTs, though more power and better reliability under hard use. But they're [i]great[/i] brakes. And cheap just now as well. I don't see them much as a race brake personally, more as a general do-it-all.
