Is the 50 hour service interval on forks regardless of conditions and usage ?

I've checked and I've done 58 hours worth of riding since the last forks service. However there has been hardly any mud, most rides were completely mud-free, and some of the rides were tame and the forks didn't get used that much.  Does this mean it can go longer than 50 hours before next service?

I do an annual oil change on all my forks.  takes about half an hour.  Its a lot more than 50 hours.  what does your manual say?

Its an easy service which makes your forks feel nicer. Total cost of materials is about 30quid from amazon, and that will be good for at least 6 other services.

It probably depends on your forms and what is recommended. I’m certain I’m probably over mine / but wanting to service it at the same time as I update the airspring and damper, but I don’t have the cash for both things yet. Hoping to eek out the summer when it’s dry etc, then get the forks serviced before the winter gets going.

I find that I need so service my fork more often during summer or periods when it’s mainly dusty. The small dust particles tend to pass the seals easier.

Wet sloppy mud doesn’t seem to get past the seals as much.
