How much clearance from the top of the tyre to the fork arch would you say is needed for good old British weather?  I have a new fork but a quick test before fitting shows a smidge under 10mm clearance. I'm running a 2.5" Highroller 2 and the fork is a DVO Sapphire. Looking at my other bike which is 27.5 x 2.35 in a Pike there seems to be almost 3 times the space.

As the build of the bike is on Thursday I have a pretty small window to change my mind. Right now I'm thinking of ordering a Pike and returning the DVO.  Can anyone comment on clearance for the Pike 29 or 29+?  The extra axle to crown puts me off the 29+ model.

Thanks in advance.

10mm would be plenty for me but I rarely have to ride in slop in the Lake District.
