I've got a 2020 Trek Rail with 160mm Yari 29er forks running a 2.6 tyre and I've spotted a set of 2019 180mm Lyrik forks for sale from a Kenevo Expert. As best I can see, the differences are 42mm offset on the Yari and 46mm on the Lyriks. The axle to crown is 572 to 576. The Kenevo runs a 27.5 wheel with a 2.8" tyre so I would expect it to be a 29er fork but it's marked as 27.5.
The steerers are the same length.
Assuming my 29er wheel fits, can anyone foresee any issues?
I wouldn’t have thought a reasonable size 29’’ tyre would fit.
I tried a 29 2.35 magic Mary with my boost 27.5 Lyrik and it was no where near so there’s no chance with a 2.6.
Depending on cost you could stick in a 180mm debonair air spring (£42 last time I looked) and a charger damper to your Yari and you’ve basically got a Lyrik.
@joebristol sure, but that'll cost more than the Lyriks and I'll have the Yaris to sell to offset the cost as well.
@simonhuscroft that's my main concern too.
20mm more travel but only 4mm more in crown to axle height.
Ask yourself where the other 16mm have gone.
If it makes sense cost wise You could
possibly buy the Lyrik and swap the damper then sell the Lyrik on as a 180mm Yari.
Would depend if you think it would be worth the hassle and possible / if any cost savings.
There’s no way your 29 will fit in the 27.5 Lyrik though.
