A shop has agreed to replace a new "Fox 32 Float 26 100 FIT RLC 2012", damaged whilst installing to a new frame .
Though for various reasons the replacement offered is a new "Fox 32 Evolution Float 26 100mm CTD 2015" .
Not knowing a great deal about these two forks can anyone give me an idea as to wether this is a decent
exchange , the intended build is more of a period than a bike of the future . thanks

Don't do it. The dampers in evolution forks are rubbish. If they transfer the FIT damper from the other fork, then it might be ok.

I'd change to a RS fork if I could, the Fox ones need much more TLC

What about the "32 Float 26 100 FIT CTD w/trail Adjust , would that be a better option ?

I think that would be the closest equivalent form their current line up to your fork.

You don't have the full flexibility of compression damping adjust like on the RLC fork has but at least you have more that the CTD (non adjust) version.

cosmetic to the fork crown mainly , "possible crown race bearing , not sure about that , Just that as a new build was after getting it correct from the start .

Crown race bearing? Do they mean damage to the steerer?

Sounds like a new CSU at worst (assuming they have damaged the steerer taking off the crown race and chipped the paint too). If no damage to steerer then a lick of paint and a healthy discount?

I am guessing they are intending to swap the forks and sell the damaged ones cheap.

Still the wrong travel. Unless you were intending to change the travel there's absolutely no way I'd accept that change

I'm a bit confused the OP originally had;

Fox 32 Float 26 100 FIT RLC 2012

and has been offered;

32 Float 26 100 FIT CTD w/trail Adjust

aren't they both 100mm?

With the paint touch up I'm already there , the option has since arisen for the replace . Really the RLC would pass and as there on ; faffing about for the newer CTD could be a step backward . Those are the thoughts .
can't say of the bearings there is nothing obvious , the steerer and fork originally new for the fit .

Yup, I was being a 'tard. Thought he'd said "120" originally
