Can anyone advise on fork offsets please?
My hardtail bike (Sonder Broken Road) currently has a 100mm Reba 29 fork, that I think has 51mm offset. I’m toying with the idea of a rigid carbon 29er fork, the one I’m looking at has a 39mm offset. Am I correct in thinking reducing offset slows the steering response(?).
The carbon fork was designed for this frame, so I was surprised to see such a difference in offset - unless it’s something to do with suspension sag vs rigid(?).
What do the hives geometry experts think?
What length is the rigid fork you're looking at?
Just checked and the rigid are supposed to be 510mm axle to crown.
