Can someone explain the likely affects on handling with these different fork lengths and offsets and 26" and 29" wheel sizes. Assuming the same 2" tyres.
Inbred frame 2006/7 original std fork is 440mm AtoC 43mm (or might be 45mm) offset. I've put in a couple of very 'unscientific' notes where I have experience, but I'd like a bit of understanding and likely effects of options I've not tried.
AtoC offset
440mm 43mm (or 45mm)std 26" feels right, as might be expected, 29" smooths bumps but doesn't feel right.
445mm 41mm ? ?
450mm 50mm ? ?
450mm 55mm 29" feels right, 26" feels OK
