I've been looking for a mount to stick an action camera to the lowers on my forks for filming a few trails. So far I've been struggling to find anything useful.
I'm considering bodging one using the headcam/headband mount (sony one) and some cable ties; either heavy duty plastic or steel ones, with rubber strips to protect the fork finish and dampen some vibration - just not 100% sure how secure that would be (can imagine it wouldn't be fun if it fell off and went in the front wheel!)
Is regular GoPro footage not jerky enough for you?
Clamp it on to the stanchion not the lower.
Just make sure you're not gonna use full travel(?) I have no idea what would happen if you took a big hit... presumably the clamp would go poof! and your camera would fall on the floor.
Just don't knock it into the spokes at 20mph...
Better angle to get it onto to the frame behind and just below the fork crown. That way you get to see the forks working.
