2004 Z1 FRII's with travel extended to 150mm. Now the forks are battered however lots of life left in them- stanchions pure black and mint and no oil loss. However on compression there is a distinctive (almost) rubber bung-stop feeling at the end of its travel. If that makes sense?
Whats happening and how do I counter? Ps. The forks have an air assist in one leg and coil in the other.
service required perhaps ?
ask widwave for a service sheet and strip them down and give them a bit of TLC.
What would you expect to feel at the end of the travel?
Maybe there's a rubber bung there?
Bump stops?
overfilled with oil causing premature bottom out? or too much air in them?
