I’ve just bought a used Stooge 29+ frame and I need a fork for it.

What I really want is a Ti truss but Stooge can’t sort that till the world unlocks its lockdown.

Standard spec is 475 A-C and 55mm offset and I need space for a 3in tyre (ideally 3.25).

I don’t really want to spend big, as my long-term plan is the truss.

So far, I’ve found:
Kinesis Maxlight carbon (490/55)
Selcof carbon (500/?)
Exotic (not enough clearance)
BXT looks the best of the eBay Chines crop) (480/45)
Enve (470/52 but too spendy)
Torus Ti (470/45 but not sure I like how they look)

So, what have I missed?

Ted James Design truss Ti fork would be cheaper I guess and he has excellent handywork by looking at pics of his work

Thanks all for those ideas.

I’ve got a Krampus steel fork that’ll do for now, v similar to the Salsa.

I’ve emailed Ted James, as that looks a great option.

I’ll also ask Andy about a steel truss. Could be an option if not too weighty and the geo is right.

On paper, the Travers seems not as good as the Kinesis (less offset, more £) but it does look nice.

its worth noting that ted will be more expensive than a pukka stooge ti fork, as will ones done through spanner bikes. Mr stevenson does exceptionally well at looking after stooge owners

I think that the most recent Swift steel forks were 470mm with a 55mm offset if you can find any (fairly weighty though).

Singular Cycles have been very quiet of late but they have been doing some semi-custom ti. models including the Pegasus. It might be worth seeing if Sam did any ti. Pegasus forks (probably not and frames were done on an order by order basis, but who knows).

Bombtrack BPC and BPS are 500/51 but I can't seem to find any UK stockists...

Can recommend the Kinesis Maxlight fork. I have one on my Mk3 and it's lovely. Light, stiff where it needs to be, i.e no scary fork leg deflection under braking but rides "comfy". Internal routing is a faff but no worse than shortening a hose and no bleed required. I can fit a 27.5 X 3.8 Hodag in easily so would swallow a 29 x 3.25. My mint one will actually be for sale very soon as I'm building a Mk4 and, well headtube, rake, etc.
