I just upgraded the forks on my Specialized Enduro to some shiny new Marzocchi Z1 (Air) and now need to decide whether to keep my 2016 (non-boost) 160mm Pikes with Luftkappe upgrade and stick them on my hard-tail or keep the 3 month old Marzocchi Z2 air 140mm forks that i bought to go on my Big Al. I like both forks but the dilemma is that i'll obviously get more for the near-new Marzocchi's second-hand but the 6 year old Pikes are still in great nic despite being obsolete. Any thoughts?
Sell the Z2 before it gets the terminal bushing issue, it's essentially scrap at that point because the bushings are moulded into the lowers
Should maybe have done a bit more research before I bought the Z2s - all the reviews were telling me they were a slightly heavier and stiffer fox 34 with the Marzocchi rail damper (which was meant to be bullet proof). HTF have fox managed to develop a fork with unreplaceable internals in 2022? That is not ok.
