Anyone used one or made their own? And how much can you actually fit in the steerer?

I have one. There’s a co2 canister and inflator, a quick link and emergency £20 note in there.
I have an XL frame with a fairly long head tube though, steerer length will dictate what fits up there really.

I've one, I've a tyre plug kit, quick link, a roll of duct tape, spare cash and a tyre sleeve.
Head tube length is key though as to what you can fit. I've seen some people stuff a pump up there but you need a fairly long headtube (and take off the front wheel to get it out again).

I made one using the rubber bung form a drain test plug.

Wouldn't want that pump falling out and jamming in the fork arch!

I use an SKS Shockboard mudguard attachment and have a very slim pump wrapped in an inner tube up there. It's not totally waterproof like a fork cork but they don't seem to be available anymore.

I went a bit overboard with this idea a little while back and squeezed a pump + dynaplug kit into my steerer. Different fork bung but the same idea.

I’ve got one, with a Leyzene pocket drive pump, 180mm steerer and no need to remove the wheel to get it out.
