You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Hi guys,
Wondering if someone could point me in the right direction.....
I recently converted my talas to float using a shim to bring the travel down to 125mm. Interestingly this didn't drop the axel to crown length. I've probably done something wrong but the fork remains at the 150mm height.
I've got a new 100mm rated frame on its way so I just looked at the differences between a reba 100mm and the talas in full 150mm mode. About 40mm difference.
Just wondering if I should whip the float conversion out which I don't want to do as it rides lovely and go back to talas running in the 110mm mode or if I should just fly by the seat of my pants and run the forks with some healthy sag on them.
We've all got to die sometime right......
If it is still at the 150mm height then you have done something wrong.
Presumably you have taken all the air out to test maximum travel? The lowers should get to within a couple of
Mm of the crown.
You may have too much fluid in there.
Found the problem.... I err ummm forgot to put a spacer in....
So the forks are 20mm over on length. Hopefully it'll be ok.
Cheers for the help!
