Looking at forks, and was a little disappointed that the fox 36 boost fork only comes with 15mm through axle option and not 20. I thought the 20mm was much better than 15mm on my old fox 36 fork, and wondered how 100x20 vs 110x15 would compare from an engineering point of view?
Overall structure makes more difference than the axle IMHO I've had flexi 20mm and stiff 15mm forks. From an engineering point of view it really depends on how they have constructed the fork, where the flex can come from and probably the hub and flanges too.
The current 36 is available in 15x100TA convertible to 110x20.
All 2015 36 forks were 15 or 20mm convertible.
Worth noting is how stiff my boost 32 feels compared to previous 32's ive had. I wouldn't say it is any less stiff than my qr15 34.
The standard 2017 36 is 15 or 20. The boost is 15 only.
