Went for a ride today and did W2. As you know there's some diversions in place as you start the Wall climb due to tree felling.
Anyway,as I was going along the diversion this forestry worker stopped me due to some tree's being felled right next to the road.He was a biker himself, so we got chatting for a few mins while the tree's came down.
My point is this: I could not believe how quick these trees came down.The power and the speed was frighting. I swear the ground shook.
It's given me a new respect for these guys and has also changed my mind completely about thinking it'll be ok to ignore diversions and thinking it'll be fine if I just pop through this section quickly....
Respect to these guys.
I went on Tuesday.
Whilst on skyline i passed this mental machine which was grabbing trees off the ground and part bailing them.The bloke saw me coming,stopped his machine and waved me past.nice one.
The machine was like something off war of the worlds.

Off to Afan in a few weeks, glad to hear there won't be any chance of getting chipped by accident.
Hopefully the diversions on the Wall will be done by then ( or so the sign says )
