Talking to someone yesterday apparently there is some good riding to be had .I thought it was just family stuff around the hire centre.Enlighten me please .Worth a day out ?

You should have asked me last Saturday!!

There is loads of good stuff but you will need a guide to find it.

And yes it's worth a trip from your part of the world.

TONNES of good riding to be had. It's worth several days there if you're with someone that knows the trails! But you do need a guide really...

Well thats what thinking does for you.Very family orientated.Mr and Mrs Dowies are always down their with DR John using his lawn mower around the dippies.

I've had guided tour, but I reckon there's enough interesting stuff in the hills near the trail centre to just go 'that looks interesting' and follow it. You can't get very lost as it's surrounded by roads.

I asked for a quide for sunday but had no joy (too little notice?)

Without getting too far from the centre we managed to find a load of trails we had never ridden before despite riding past them a dozen times in the past!!!

The parts of the enduro course we found were fantastic and pretty much bone dry. Just ended up sessioning loads of sections in the glorious weather.

We had a great day!

No Forest, basically. There's hours of fun to be had North of the centre, but you hit the limits of what is actually forest. So if you actually want to ride among trees...
