How does the FOD DH course compare say to Triscome or Cwmcarn?

first off, no-one knows what the course will be! but going on the past 4 races i've done (each on a different track):
triscome - no idea.
cwmcarn is fairly similar i'd say, harder but not by much. less pedalling at cwmcarn. I find I could freewheel most of it without losing much speed, whereas the bottom of the FoD race will definitely include a sprint to the tabletop.
FoD will be much more natural of course, nothing like the trailcentre style cwmcarn

Couple of mates going there in a few weeks.I've done Cwmcarn and Triscome. Didn't like Triscome much, to rooty, twisty and muddy ( i know, Im a girl ) I liked Cwmcarn, even though I took it very easy.

I really hate to do this but I might put you off now.
One of last years races was the definition of rooty, twisty and muddy, with the addition of it being bloody dark.
But.
Other races have been great fun in the dry on faster tracks so it really does come down to the weekend - what track they choose and what the weather is like.
I'd definitely enter if I were you, there is a good group of girls of all abilities who rode the races last year and seems like they had a good laugh so go for it. Its cheap as races go so if you back out on the day there won't be much lost and you can still come enjoy the atmosphere.
Have I sold it yet?

Im not a girl, it was a metaphor 🙂 ( sorry girls)

Think its just an uplift day, no racing, so I can go at my own pace.
I just didnt enjoy rooty twisty stuff, prefer fast (ish) and flowy.I wont be setting any records.

Not ridden Triscome or Cwmcarn but I would definitely recommend the FoD uplift. Great service and the tracks are really good. Sheepskull is awesome.
