You've had a Swift before haven't you ? Pegasus is the way forward, can run rigid with Niner or sus (using 20mm axle Minutes) easy to swap between geared and SS. 4 bikes in one.

Your not that far away from me if you fancy a looksee, mines a large. Was using at HTN this year.

had a dark moment and sold it....**** knows why. 😡

mick, fancy some white indusries cranks and some woods stuff maybe.
never tried any proper bling stuff............does it work any better than shimano/hope type normal stuff?
i know it certainly looks nicer.

29ers you say? You mean hybrids of course.

No hybrid would be complete without a rack for carrying shopping and books and stuff:

[img] [/img]

Tubus Titanium rack. One hundred and fifty pounds to you sir.

And how about some nice wooden mudguards?

[img] [/img]

And to top it all off, a lovely brass bell:

it's like a td-1 except it is setup for 470mm forks 80mm stroke, shorter chainstays , swapout dropouts and estays

just like a td-1 it's a 29er

i did think about going for the non suspension corrected bike like the td-1 but i think it limits peoples choices too much,,
i'm sure Brant has something 29er up his sleeves ,but he is a very busy boy,, and has lots of hats to wear( Ragley nukeproof, etc etc),, he just might have mislaid his 29er hat at the moment , or maybe his kids have got it

Boutique to me is a bit dull these days - you have to make it beautiful as well as expensive. Expensive and boutique isn't always beautiful (Merida's green XC race bikes...).

Boutique? El Mariachi Ti, Black Sheep, Eriksen etc etc. King wheels, XTR..

Yeah that's a nice frame Tazz - specially enlarged diameter tubes for SS use. Gorgeous. Personally I prefer the 2010 Salsa ti frames to the 2011 as they took a proper headset rather than these stupid internal jobbies...

I would suggest a Lynskey Rohloff, but the more people who buy one, the less niche mine becomes, so I won't.

I really thought you had worked out that spunking vast sums of cash didn't make a difference.

I guess we'll go around one more time then. Ho hum.

Aren't they just, though? 🙂

There's a thing on here about how to make your own.

Slight aside, sounds like your Ventana fits nicely, why not a steel frame with same geometry...
Couldnt something like an Inbred make a cheap donor for a frame builder to hack about ?
Ventana don't do steel do they ?

I would give the nod to Steve Stickle of the ByStickle fame (or not so famous)

My experience with him on a custom build has been in a different league to any other builder I've used. The guy leaves NO stone unturned

Wolfhounds are nice and bling, pricey and difficult to get hold of, plus the whole process can be wearisome...

Haha Bonesetter.

I've been thinking about this thread this weekend and decided that if i was going for 'that special build' I'd be speaking to this guy as well. I just love the care he seems to take over each build.
