About to pull the pin on a Fluxient U2 mini - recommended by specializedneeds.
Will this work with an Exposure Joystick mount?
Am I being silly not getting a cheaper one off of EBay, or DX?
No interested in the massive battery pack, lots of cables route.

Got one, seems well made, reckon it will last a long time which is more than can be said for some of the DX jobs my mates run. Worth the premium? Probably just about although a decent mains charger would have been nice for the price.
The Fluxients are too wide for the Exposure Joystick, you can force them in but it flares out the mount which then doesn't grip securely. My mate gave me one he had already flared on a DX torch, I've had to secure it with a couple of cables ties. It isn't pretty but at least it was free.
I have the fluxient light and I would say its worth that bit more.
I have it mounted in a Exposure Joystick mount fits ok, but have used one of the rubber rings that it comes with to doubly secure it.
Works a treat and nice and secure.

Dunno but shredder's o-ring mount sounds like a much better solution than my bodge!

The torch below was a Deal extreme jobbie that I turned down on the lathe bit by bit to save weight and fit an Exposure helmet mount. It fitted perfect and was nearly 50% lighter than the original light (can't remember exact weight)The same could be done with any light that contains a single 18650 battery (which I believe a Joystick does).
Most of the Chinese torches have too much metal in their construction. It gives a chuncky look and makes them feel substancial, so you think your getting a lot for your money 😉

I bought my fluxient u2 from a seller on eBay and it came with a helmet mount. http://payments.mobileweb.ebay.co.uk/seller?cmd=SELLER&sellerId=big_f_d_d
He doesn't have any on at the moment but add to your favourite seller and when he does you 'll know.

Hi Alex, sorry for the delay getting back to you. I no longer have a Joystick, but I do have a mount. Its 19.5mm inside dia. approx, and my torch is 20.5mm dia where it would fit the mount.
