I can't decide if this is a good innovation or just something else to buy for the sake of spending money:

Sorry if this has already been done, but I couldn't find any evidence from a quick search!

If it saves snapping off a reverb lever it's worth it!

I just stand my bars on my bike shoes, provides the same effect. Does the saddle need protecting when its next job will be to spend 3 hours under my muddy arse?

In the house/van no because I have a proper bike stand as proper work is best done right way up.
On the trail not going to carry it
It's some foam, it's like the RRP an expensive version of something kicking round already of course it will sell.

£13 !

If i had any use for that, I could make it in about 5 minutes from the tat in the garage.

Yeah seems pointless to me, only practical to use at home and then everyone will have something knocking about to lift up the bars (shoes as said above being the obvious one). Pipe lagging is enough for mine to clear the controls to and would be more portable, not that I'd bother taking some on the trails though.
