We managed to get one of the wee ones a 26" Luath but its come with some proper steal shin shredders. Shes a little thing so doesn't need bin lids for her feet. Does anyone have any wisdom for nice flats for her without spending a fortune?

Thanks in advance

That's a good roundup. We went for KC008s for my 6yo, ordered off Aliexpress. Someone could make a killing if they actually stocked these smaller sized pedals in the UK.

VP push compact for composite pedals with metal pins that provide decent grip without tearing shins.
SDG slater for composite pedals that have replaceable pins and in a variety of colors. Anyting from the included short fatty pins to whatever shin burger mashing pin options you can find from other pedal brands.

My kids used to use Wellgo KC001's and they both got along with them really well. Platforms are a nice size, pins aren't too aggressive and they're well sealed and have lasted years. Definite recommendation from me.
