Finding epic routes or hilly is not hard but Mrs anagallis is regaining fitness post knee op and the boy is only 11. Any suggestions?
Head to Petra inland and then back on the coast road, one of the squares in the centre of Petra is full of restaurants filled with cyclists
Edit; that might be a bit far so head out on the backroads to the golf course and then down to Campanet. Coffee and apple cake at the caves and then head back via Sa Pobla and maybe, or Muro to Alcudia.
Ultimately there are shed loads of back roads and routes heading out that way
Much of it is quite flat providing you don't head north. Lots of nice country lanes going south west out of the town, and there's decent cycle infrastructure to get you out of the town itself.
Lighthouse and back is pretty flat for mallorca?

Worth having one of these maps. Has all the best cycling roads marked on.
Thanks guys some good tips
If you start off heading towards Alcudia you can’t go wrong.
I'm not sure what the main coast road to Alcudia is like for cycling. Possibly busy with fast traffic and not too enjoyable. There are some quiet lanes that connect Pollenca with Caimari, Binibona and Campanet that may be within your distance. That's the way we'd go out towards Alaro for an epic, coming back via Soller and Lluc. If you can drive, the southeast of the island is very flat and not very busy (there are a number of official signposted routes that have good descriptions of what to expect).
Start as somewhere like (lighthouse is definitely not flat) like Muro or ride in the direct of Alcudia but duck into the country lanes as soon as you can in the coast. Stick to the country lanes - very quiet. All flat. Although the suggestion to get in a car and go a little inland first is a good one all over the island the costal roads are generally busier. I’d also say it can be flat but very windy in Mallorca, so you need to watch out for that on your rides (long headwind slogs home). We’re out there in Porto Pollensa next week!
You may have done it already but I definitely recommend having a look on Ride with GPS, you can stick in distances and elevation too to narrow down routes to something that suits.

Apart from the big, grinding climb right out of the gate!
