I am after a pair of mtb shoes to use with my mg1 wellgo pedals. I like the look of the AM45 shimanos but i have noticed they have cleat holes in them. Do people still use them on flat pedals or are they used for cleat only thanks

I would imagine that a shoe designed to be used with cleats is probably going to have a much stiffer sole than one designed just to be used with flats. Definitely check out the one that the guys above recommend.

I've just bought some, best price was from UK Bikestore. I'm really pleased with them, i like the stiff sole and they even give enough grip on my dirt cheap Wellgo pedals on the off road commuter.

I've found them wider than shimano spd's. I've gone a size lower than my mw81's but find more room in them with thae same winter socks.

If you have huge feet like me, the size 12 purple Five Ten freeriders are 50 quid at Leisure Lakes Bikes at the moment.
