Nanos for me, at that price.

Though, I've got a couple of pairs of these:
http://www.steeleindustriesltd.co.uk/#!store/cwvn

They're sort of ace, sort of crap. Ace, in that they're light, and very very thin. Crap, in that the bearing design is terrible. Mitigated a wee bit by the fact that once the outer bearing fails, you can just remove it and bodge it back together with washers and a tiny bit of play. The platform's not big mind.

The saints should be good, but there are quite a lot of clicky ones around apparently.

How are the Saints in Muddy conditions, they look like there's quite a large surface area for mud and shit to stick to making them slippy?

I've got plastic nukeproofs and saints - both are great pedals. The saints seem a bit grippier. And they look ace.

I've had nanos and liked them, currently run both saints and the plastic Nukeproofs, both good, but I prefer the Nukeproofs and they are 150g lighter!

I've got these magnesium wellgo's, which are excellent, grippy, tough and very light (380g) . 45 quid on crc
But £29.95 here and 28.95 all over ebay!

[img] [/img]

PS the neutron electrons looka t good buy. I think they are made from EMS Grivory (glass reinforced nylon) which is often used as a metal replacement material on cars.

My Saints lasted less than six months before they died a total death - CRC refunded, happily. Been happy with some Nukeproof jobbies on my other bikes, so have those now as a replacement.

The Saints never seemed that grippy, even with Shimano shoes. Unimpressed with them all around really.

I'll vote for Nano's - currently £37 too.

I have them on both bikes and find that they grip really well with my 5 10 Freeriders. One pair is two years old, still spinning smoothly and has all of the pins which is pretty impressive for me because my current bike has a low BB and I always managed to rip pins out of my old V12's and Azonic A frames.

One of the chaps I ride with has Saints and really likes them but he has had an issue whereby one of the gold nuts works loose so grit and gunk gets in the pedal making is squeak and grind. They do look good but I like the options of colours.

I'm too tight for posh pedals - I'd be pretty hacked off hearing a £100 plus pair of pedals be ground on some rocks.

Specialized Bennies, super grippy, mud shedding, ever spinning, made for shredding.
Best pedals I've ever used, no contest.

I couldn't get on with the plastic nukeproofs, ended up with a set on my commuter but wouldn't have them on a mountain bike. But better riders than me like 'em.

The Wellgo MG1's still a good choice- reliable, lightweight for the price. Not the toughest, relatively easy to knock pins out. And quite fat. But still good.
