Anyone tried these new Adidas/Stealth shoes?
They seem to be out of stock everywhere
Looking for something that dries overnight
Will be wearing Sealskinz anyway
I've had some of the Terrex Adidas boots since last Christmas. They work really well with a pair of waterproof socks.
Not as full on grip-wise, but plenty good enough and more versatile. They dry pretty quick and resist the elements a bit better too.

Doesn't really matter if they're dry then!.
I've given up on the very idea of waterproof bike shoes, the water gets in whatever, sealskinz and bridgedale merino socks below them, sorted.
I'll be in my Five Ten Guide Tennies again- not the perfect sole, but otherwise very good. I got some rather nice Columbia Omni-Heats to try last year, but ended up just wearing them as normal shoes.
Is that the boots Ton and scotroutes use? Keep meaning to try those, any good?
Surely Vaudes are the answer?
Yes the shoes don't need to be waterproof with Sealskinz but I'd rather not be putting wet shoes back on the next day
As of now, Vaude Moab Mid STX.
Five Ten Trailcross GTX likely to be released sometime in the future
If overnight drying is the main criteria, think laterally and invest in one of these instead...

You'll dry anything for the next day.
I normally ride in freerider elements but they suck up water like a sponge so last night I dug out the addidas terrex shoes I bought a few years ago but decided the grip wasn’t good enough on the flats I had. I’ve since changed flat pedals and actually they seemed to work pretty well on the Superstar Nano Evo I’m now using. Better grip off the bike too.
First wet night ride last night and whilst the shoes couldn’t be faulted I made a huge meal of staying upright on anything remotely steep or rooty!
I've been on the cusp of buying some new flat pedal shoes for ages. I really like the look of the Adidas/Five Ten LT Trailcross but I don't think they'd be any good in winter. I read somewhere that they're bringing out a goretex version but not seen anything yet.
I've been running the Trailcross LT all winter down here in Tassie.
It hasn't been too cold this year, but it has been wet.
Only went with the Showers Pass water proof socks once, otherwise nice woollen ones have been fine. They drain well & dry a lot quicker than my old Freeride Elements. More durable too.
Am still using Adidas Terrex Hydro Pro, which are canyoning boots with a Stealth rubber sole. Not sure if these are still available, might just be an updated version. IME they don't hold water in the same way as normal boots as the inner is neoprene rather than fabric. And they seem to stay warm when wet. Pretty good at repelling spray but if I put a foot down then water can come in over the top. Used to leave them in the boiler room at work and they'd dry out during the day OK - helped if you put a microfibre towel inside. Mine are massive but that allows room inside for thicker socks and blood flow for warmth.
The trouble with wet shoes isn't so much that they're wet, but that sodden shoes become a massive heat sink.
Off the back of this, which sealskins socks are the go to? I have Adidas terrex trailcross, which I rate very highly, but obviously not very waterproof.

Excellent tbh, but not perfect. Clumpy, but then so are Impacts. The sole isn't quite as good as a bike five ten, but still better than a lot of the competition (the shape/tread's not right but the rubber's still good and soft).
I just wish you could still find the goretex ones but they're too long discontinued.
Usually at this point someone'll recommend Five Ten EPS, and I'll say they're one of hte worst bike products I've ever bought. "water resistant", says it all. They're warm til they're wet, and they're wet as soon as you see a puddle. Amazing on a cold dry snow day, but we don't get many of those and even the ones we do still tend to have streams and melt.
As of now, Vaude Moab Mid STX.
I'd agree. Bought mine last October. Wore them every ride until March! They are a bit stiff to start with and not the warmest, but kept my feet dry before water came in from the top, dry quickly and seem super durable.
Great ethical product as well (or they were when I researched them)

Not me. Exactly your experience. Dog ended up eating mine. Wasn't a great loss.
I suffer really badly from cold / frozen feeling feet. After advice here I went the sealskins route - which has more or less solved the issue - the choice of footwear is a pair of waterproof Keen walking boots. Which on flat pedals work absolutely fine ...
