Anyone seen anything out there? Looked at the usual suspects ie Nukeproof, Shimano, DMR, Superstar (by the way whats the difference between nano thru pin and nano tech pedals? im confused).

They are going on my Canyon Spectral which is raw and blue.

Hope F20's - I like mine, they work well with 5:10 shoes.

Thru pins the pin is accessible from the other side so easier to chane if they are damaged. Slightly heavier but make a lot more sense

Never had a from-the-front pin I couldn't shift with a minute's work tbh. Have broken a thru-pin cage though- bigger holes in a similiar cage = less strong. Get teh pedals you like, don't worry about the pin type.

Would love a set of Hopes but out of my price range I'm afraid pal.

Cheers Tony, think I'll go for the thru pins if i choose Superstar.

Superstar non-thru pins for me. Larger platform and more pins iirc than the thru-pins so better fit for my size twelve canal barges.

Again cant afford the burgtec, lovely as they are. Refuse to pay more than £50 especially when they get battered probably more than any other part. Id be gutted to get a set of those and scratch and dent them to oblivion.

Those plastic nukeproof electron ones seem to get good press, and are cheap(ish) (£32)
No personal experience as I'm an SPD man but I did think of trying flats recently and they where pretty much top of the list
Although I see CRC have 35% off Saints at the mo making them £38

Sold my Hope F20's for some Nukeproof Electrons after a few too many pedal slips on them and a go on Jedi's bike with Electrons.

Wysiwyg, I'd be keen on those SH Bergtecs. Pics and price to email in profile if interested.

Big fan of Superstar Nano pedals here especially if they're still jobbing them out at £37 a pair. They're the only flats that I've not managed to rip pins out of.

Just switched to the plastic nukeproof electron and love them. Slim, good platform, no slips, not battered with pedal strikes, cheap

carboncycles.cc have exactly the same pedals as SS Nanos at £33.79 except they say 'exotic' on them ! I have some and they are fine but so are the Electrons I have got on the other bike which were about £32 but don't come in colours I believe.

I bought a pair of the superstar delta pedals with the half price titanium axles, working quite well so far but only been on for about 5 rides so not a real long term opinion just yet.
