Taking the plunge...

After owning my S-Works HT Spesh for 10 years I am riding it a lot more again and fancy giving curly bars a go again.... no need to rush 😉

its currently running a 0degree/110mm'ish Thomson stem and flat bars, bike is a 18" and I am 5'11"'ish with a long inside leg.

Question: what length stem, angle etc and what rise curly bars would be a good starting place? I do not have the foggy'est???

I can only assume drops. I recommend some 42cm Ritchey Superlogics.

I mean riser bars - they are curly up to my straight as an arrow bars 🙂

I was looking at Renthal Fatbar with a 10 degree rise, and a Thomson X4 90mm/10 degree, any thoughts?

Which aren't actually straight...

Personal choice really. Mt Zoom do good bars, light, well priced, I like the shape.

Thomson stems are a safe bet. Not the lightest, but perfectly good.

If you're going to a shorter stem then it's the bar width you want to be thinking about more than anything - I'd go shorter than 90mm but your bike may not be long enough in the top tube to be comfortable much shorter.
