I've had three punctures in the last week on my road bike 🙁

I usually have no problem sticking patches on tubes - however the last one I did hasn't worked out.

I found the leak, cleaned and roughed up the tube around the hole. Applied the adhesive and allowed it to dry. I carefully peeled off the backing from the patch and applied it to the area covered in dry adhesive. At first it seemed ok - then it just lifted straight off!

Can anyone suggest why this might have happened?

Also: what do I do know to get another patch on this tube? Is there a chemical that will clean off the old adhesive? or do I just bin this tube??

All advice greatfully received 😆

Just put a new tube in...

AFTER you check the tire properly

then dont use tire leavers to get the tire on again

I normally clean messed up puncture attempts by rubbing it off with the emery cloth when it's all dry.
