Got a very minor scrape on my front rim track, think it's been leaned against something. It's visible bit doesn't look that bad, can barely feel it with the fingers. (Can't post a pic as don't have an image hosting account)

Not bothered about cosmetics, however even though you can barely feel it, it is causing a ridiculous amount of brake judder, especially at slower speeds. New rim is 200 quid, so ideally I'd like to try to smooth it out. Nail polish? Or is it well and truly goosed?

Rim is a prime clincher if it makes any difference.

Fill with epoxy and sand down at a guess

This stuff is excellent for fixing and repairing carbon - I've fixed numerous chunks out of my carbon wheels - it's black and polishes up so is near invisible:

I'm reluctant to start putting fillers on there as I can't see how I could get it smoother than it is already.

Having examined the rim there seems to be a miniscule buckle No more than a mm or 2 just where the scrape is, which may be causing the pulsing.

Is truing a carbon wheel exactly the same as an alu one? I have taken buckles out of alu wheels before but I don't really know what I'm doing so not keen on the process of trial and error to fix these if it'll damage the rim potentially

Find a decent bike shop which has experience of truing/building carbon wheels. Too much tension and you will crack the rim.
