Bought a pair of Five Ten Eliments only 6 months ago and only used a maximum 10 times and then not for long periods and the sole is trashed and the seam is already coming away 😡

Has anyone else had these issues ?

Got them from CRC so hopefully I can return and get a new pair

Worn my guide tennies every day for 6 months and still looking good.

No idea about the bike specific stuff though.

My old Basics and Impacts were shit frankly- great to ride in but all the build quality of a tesco trainer, i honestly felt a bit robbed. Cardboard insole in an outdoor shoe, wtf?

But my Freerider Elements have been holding up very well, so did my non-Element Freeriders. The new Impact seems better made too, I didn't like them for riding but for build quality they're a step up

Had one pair and thought they were overpriced shit. Gone back to vans for bmx, Shimano for MTB & Specialized for road.

Excellent. I'll expect them to start falling apart in the next couple of weeks then...

Is this the new style ones or the old style?

Send some pictures to CRC. I can almost guarantee they will get you a new pair.

CRC and Five-Ten are both great at dealing with warranties IME.

I've had my impacts (high) for around 5 yrs, wear them all year round, never cleaned them and still going strong.

Been wearing ours for years with no problems. Stick them in the washer ever now and then to freshen them up. Send them back, should be replaced under warranty.

I've just replaced the old Sam Hill ones. They must have lasted me 8 years I reckon. Indestructible.

I've had a few pairs and thier longevity comes down to luck IMO - the soles are a thin sheet of the sticky rubber over a foam base rather than made out of the same material like almost every other type shoes in the world - if you're lucky they can last a decent time, but one tear in the rubber and they're ****ed - water comes in and they fall apart.

Tbh my Teva links have been better in every way bar the actual level of grip - they're about 90% as good which is more than enough for me. It's a shame no one else bought them so they dropped them... 🙁
