Has anyone any ideas of keeping feet dry while wearing Fivetens, I have seen the post on wearing overshoes over them, but there is no update as to if it works, went out yesterday and they are drenched socks and feet looked like I had been in bath for 4 hours
Goretex socks?
Stay indoors.
Had sealskins on dont rate these at all, is there anything better, they ended up full of water and another person who had just got some said his were the same
Oh yep thats a good idea will do that next time Onzadog, why didnt I think of that! 😉
I've got 2 pairs of the thicker woolie Sealskinz that have been excellent for me. One pair is at least 8 years old and the other not much newer and both pairs still work perfectly with no leaks.

Tape-up the cuffs to your legs with duct tape. It helps if you shave you legs first.
Sell them, get some Shimano AM41's. Much better at keeping the water out and more than grippy enough.
Teva Links are also good.

For similar money you can buy Merrell or Salomon sports hybrid trainers which are Gore Tex lined... I've used mine in all weathers never had wet feet, (apart from Kielder.)The only reason they are due for replacement is the sole has finally given up to the pins on the pedals after 2 years of abuse.
Get some waterproof walking shoes resoled with 5 10 rubber.
You can get SealSkinz in a merino version that are mid-calf length. It helps.
Tesco bags & elastic bands !,& if ure a southerner Waitrose !,lol

The water is running down your leg and into the sock from where it cannot escape.
I use sealskinz with five-tens, I have two sizes normal and long (just below knee) which when used with 3/4 shorts keep out everything. In average wet winter weather the normal socks are fine, mine fit pretty tight on my calves.
